General feature: To tell you a bit more about this place, it's a very

building which is located right in the center of district 1. It was built by the French way back in the 19th century and some people even said that it is designed by the architect who designed the Eiffel tower. From what I have heard, now they still keep the the same as when it was first built.

What I love most about this building is that it is a great place to feel the essence of Saigon. The building is always

with the non stop flow of tourists and locals coming in and out, and yet there are still plenty of peaceful corners where you can sit and enjoy a good book or write a letter.

Also, I used to love coming here to visit mr. Duong Van Ngo, who is a public letter writer and translator who has been working here for more than 70 years, ever since the post office first opened. I sometimes find it very

that he could even be considered as the spirit of this Post Office, and yet he sits in a very of the building, with only a piece of paper as the sign for his “office”. I met him the first time when I was in kindergarten, and back then, watching the way he writes letters, using French and English fluently really sparked my love for language. Unfortunately he retired in early 2021 due to .
