Starbucks Vietnam will close its Hanoi shop after eight years, following the closure
 of two other Vietnamese outlets
 last year. The Starbucks Lan Vien location in Hoan Kiem District will remain open until June 30, according to a Facebook post from the firm.
Last year, the coffee business closed another location in Hoan Kiem District and one in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City. Starbucks Vietnam CEO Patricia Marques stated earlier this year that the company was finding it difficult to expand the number of locations in Vietnam owing to challenges in negotiating rent pricing
. She noted that the company will continue to expand in Vietnam by focusing on new metropolitan regions with a lack of services
.
Starbucks has 78 locations countrywide, whereas Highlands Coffee has 500 and The Coffee House has 156.
